Involve Northwest Community Hub are looking for volunteers!
The Community Hub aims to add extra support for community members and visitors, giving everyone a friendly, warm, inviting space to walk into if you need us.
The Community Hub offer:
- Food hub
- Sofa meeting space
- Tea and coffee facilities and a warm space
We are looking for volunteers to assist in our Community Hub, supporting Wirral community members who are accessing Involve Northwest and our partner agencies. This volunteer role is an opportunity to do something to make a difference in our community.
Volunteering with us may involve:
- Shopping trips for groceries from local supermarkets and packing food parcels.
- Stacking shelves and stock rotation.
- Chatting with our community members that come to use the Community Hub.
Skills and attributes required for the role:
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Friendly and approachable with a genuine enthusiasm to help others.
- Positive outlook, sense of humour and willingness to learn from others.
- Working as part of a team in a busy working environment.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
You will be provided with:
- Travelling expenses of 45p per mile travelled.
- Working with team support and relevant training.
- Support with your own personal development and opportunities to learn new skills.
- A uniform to represent the charity.
All volunteers will be subject to a DBS check that will be paid for by the charity.
We would welcome any potential volunteers to visit the Community Hub to have a look around, meet the team and have an informal chat and a coffee.
